ABOUT MADISON INDOOR RECTREATION CENTER

In 2003, Stephanie R. Hensley and Tammye Gilbert, wanted more for their community and their children. They had a vision to offer a safe, healthy, fun environment for children and adults to participate in recreational activities including the sport their children love so much – soccer.

Their ideas and vision turned into reality when they opened their doors in December 2004. Since opening, the community has embraced them and has quickly become the #1 place in Kentucky to play indoor soccer.

Madison Indoor also has a great level of competition and the desire to continue developing the best facility in the state of Kentucky. Here are some of the reasons members say they love Madison Indoor:

  • great competition
  • better fields to play on
  • friendly staff
  • experienced, certified award winning coaches
  • welcoming environment
  • certified refs
  • competitive fees for registration

Madison Indoor would like to welcome you to play competitively or recreationally at our facility in Richmond, KY. This facility is a must play for the serious athlete or for non-competitive play.  Advertising opportunities are available within the facility.  Advertisement Sheet

The Facility

The facility was builfacility1t in 2004 with two indoor fields that are regulation size, 184″ x 84″ with 6″ tempered glass with field view. The fields are both surfaced with SportsTurf. The new turf is the latest technological innovation in synthetic grass playing surfaces. It combines superior durability with unhindered turf consistency, allowing a level of play that is truly reflective of a player’s skill and ability. SportsTurf’s natural grass qualities make it possible for all field sports player’s to excel at their game.

The turf is manufactured from Thiolon LSP-Xtended Play Sport Fiber. This 100% PE fiber is specifically designed for high-pile in fill artificial grass systems (the so-called 3rd generation turf), the objective being extended lifetime while providing consistency of the playing surface for a longer period of time.

d5infieldIn 2013, Madison Indoor Soccer became Madison Indoor Recreation Center when one of the soccer fields was converted into a state-of-the-art softball and baseball area.  It features seven batting cages, a bullpen and an infield with a left field wall similar to Fenway Park’s “green monster”.  Also in the cage area are three iron mike pitching machines and two additional pitching machines for baseball and softball.  January of 2013 there were 21 softball teams in first-ever league.  There were also multiple baseball, slowpitch softball and softball tournaments.
